To enable the students to get the best coaching and advice possible Nathan has taken pride in choosing what he believes are the right coaches to do the job. Each coach has professional hockey experience at Elite league or English Premier League levels and have been extremely successful at club as well as gaining International experience and honours playing for the Great Britain under 18’s and 20’s teams at the Junior World Championships.

Nathan has also coached his coaches and knows they are hard working, dedicated, willing to learn and know what it takes to be successful as a goalie and a coach. Their hard work at club level enabled them to progress towards a successful professional career. It’s these dynamic qualities and passion that Nathan wants his students to take from his programme.

Samantha Bolwell

Samantha is the camps first ever female coach and currently plays for the Sheffield Shadows where she is one of the top goalies in the women’s elite league. She played at the highest level representing Great Britain in the World Championship at under 18’s and senior levels, she was a member on the Great Britain team that won a silver medal in Dumfries last year. At the 2012 World Championships she was award the Great Britain Supporters clubs Player of the Tournament. Sam has playing at the World University games where she faced an unbelievable 92 shot in a 2-1 defeat to the USA. She’s also played for the England women’s team playing in a number of tournaments in North America and Europe. Not only has she excelled in the women’s game but she also played a number of games at men’s senior hockey level for the Streatham Redskins in the ENL. Samantha is great role model for any female goalie showing what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.

Declan Ryan

Declan last season season played for the Manchester Phoenix in the EPL. Declan has had a very successful Junior career winning National Championships at under 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s, playing for the Nottingham and Sheffield Junior Development programmes. He has also represented the North and Midland Conference teams and every England age level. Declan was part of the first ever Great Britain under 18s team to stay up in Division 1 whilst establishing 4th place. Turning in some great performances and stopping 130 of the 142 shots he faced over the 5 games and posting a 91.55 save percentage. Declan was honoured for his achievement with the Great Britain Supporters Club, Player of the Tournament award.

Dean Skinns

Dean is currently playing for the Milton Keynes Lightning in the English Premier League. Skinns who played his Junior hockey through the Basingstoke Junior development working his way up to the pro team where he started his career. Back in 03/04 season Deans hard work paid of has he won the Coaches Player of the Year Award for the Bison. After 4 seasons with Bison Dean moved on to play for the Bracknell Bees were he help them win the EPL Cup that season. In 09/10 season Dean won the play-offs championship with Slough Jets. The 13/14 season with the Basingstoke Bison Dean finished of the season winning the EPL Cup and Play-offs. Having played at all Level Elite League, BNL and EPL has plenty of experience to pass on to students.

Dan Weller Evans

Dan started playing at the age of 15 for the Basingstoke Junior Bison after switching from inline hockey. In his first year he won the U18’s South 2 Championship. Dan the moved to play for the Isle of Wight playing for the U18’s, ENL 2 and ENL 1 teams. That’s same year he won the ENL 1 South Championship and was top goalie in the stats. Dan played another 3 years with the Wightlink Raiders winning 3 more championships. Dan now is the goalie coach for the Basingstoke Junior system and is back playing for the Basingstoke Bison in the EPL for a second consecutive season.

Danny Milton

Danny is currently playing for the Bracknell Hornets in the NIHL 1. Last Sean Danny had a successful year with the Slough Jets in the NIHL 2 winning the South East Championship. Danny also played his junior hockey at Slough. Danny was also a regular with the South East conference team playing from under 11’s to under 15’s. At the age of 16 Danny started training the the Jets EPL team getting quality experience from pro players. At 17 Danny was getting important playing time with the ENL Jets aswell as being back up for the Jets EPL team. Danny as been part of a successful Jets team that won the EPL Cup in 2010/11 season and EPL Play-Off last season.

Steve Nightingale

Steve graduated from the University of Bedfordshire in 2009 with a degree in Sport and Physical Education, and went on to complete his Masters degree in Strength and Conditioning at Middlesex University in 2012. After spending several seasons in the English National League playing in goal for the Peterborough Islanders, Steve switched to working behind the scenes. As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he spent a season working for the Peterborough Phantoms in the EPL and another season with the Invicta Dynamos in the ENL South, whilst also working with a semi-professional rugby team. Now a lecturer and researcher, Steve has recently published ice hockey fitness training articles in international sports science and strength and conditioning publications. As part of the coaching team Steve will be providing expert advice and training, working with each student to improve fitness and discipline through knowledge and goalie training techniques.

Lukas Smital

Lukas has been one of the top players to play in the BNL and EPL over the last 10 years. He’s Bracknell Bees player coach EPL team and is head coach of the Bracknell junior development. With all goaltending camps it’s important to have quality shooters that are going to develop each goalie correctly. Lukas helps recruit the best possible shooter for all ages and wealth of experience make sure the shooting drills are preformed correctly for the benefit of each goalie.

Tanya Romans

Tanya graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy where she received full colours in Sports Therapy for services to the university as Tanya worked with many of the University’s sports teams throughout my course. Tanya is a full member of the Society of Sports Therapists and currently studying for an MSc in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation at the University of Kent. Previously she has worked with Sussex Thunder American Football team. Tanya has been working with Streatham Redskins ENL team as therapist since 2012 where she have managed all different types of injuries. She has also travelled with the England Women’s Senior and Girl’s under 16 team to a international training camp in Finland in 2014.
